The program was created by the daughter of a career Executive Secretary who retired just shy of her 80th birthday. Here’s a short interview with the Founder.

Preliminary Nominations Instructions
- Contact the Admin you would like to nominate, tell them about the program, using the email above (Template #3)
Go to https://adminawards.com - Click the yellow Nominate button (or to go to the nominations portal from here –https://theadminawards.awardsplatform.com)
- Register to nominate if you haven’t already or start a new nomination if you’re already registered
- In the dropdown, Award Category menu select TRIGGER NOMINATION – FOR INTERNAL USE ONLY
- Complete the information requested
- An email will be sent to your Nominee AND their Supervisor when you submit the Trigger Nomination!
- Included below is a follow-up email for the Supervisor and/or HR Leader about the program. (VERSION 2), also encouraging them to nominate your candidate. This separate follow up is hugely helpful after your Trigger has been submitted.

For a decade now the Admin Awards has been providing long-overdue recognition of Administrative Professionals across the country and currently operates in 10 markets.
The reason for my email is I think you strongly represent the quality of the candidates that have gone through this program and I would like to submit what we call a “trigger” nomination on your behalf. This ensures that your company is made aware of this wonderful awards program and gives the opportunity to recognize those that “do all the work” – Administrative Professionals like us. The system will notify your Supervisor once you are nominated so they can move forward in nominating you for one of the nine award categories.

I want to be sure that you understand that this nomination is legitimate – don’t trash it! Note you MUST accept your nomination within 14 days of receiving notification or before the deadline (whichever comes first) in order to remain in the competition which includes inputting your HR contact into the system so it can notify them of the program as well and can garner internal support.

Template #7: Major Prize Email Template
The Admin Awards, becoming nationally known as “The Academy Awards for Admins” is accepting a limited number of Major Prize contributions for our Major Prize program. Past prizes have included all-expenses-paid vacations, electronics, spa packages, gift cards, airline tickets, designer purses, and much, much more! Our Prize Breaks have become legendary and represent a potent way to endear your brand to these deserving and connected Administrative Professionals while also enjoying the captive audience of hundreds of executive and administrative attendees during the ceremony.
14 prize donor companies are showcased during the Admin Awards Good as Gold Gala (prize value will determine when) to an audience of Administrative Professionals, their Executives, Coworkers, and Friends & Family. Additional details include:
– Minimum prize value is $500, subject to review and approval. Exceptions are sometimes made regarding value, depending on the nature of the major prize contribution.
– Hotel accommodations must be two or more nights if local or three or more nights if it’s a destination that requires air travel by the winner and expiration dates must be at least one year from the Gala date.
– Prize Partners will receive promotion at the Admin Awards event.
– Every Admin ticket holder that attends Admin Awards is automatically entered to win one of the 14 major prizes.
– Prize Partners are given the contact list of Admins who “opt-in” for the prize drawings for future follow up.
– While not all prizes are accepted, those that we believe would delight our community of Administrative Professionals and include a value of over $500 (although many are in the $1,000 – $2,500 range) are what excites us the most.
